10 August 2008: I am sorry that I have't been able to keep up the website like I usually do. I have been keeping track, so I hope I haven't missed anything. This page is the first thing that I will get updated, and then work on the rest of the site. Thanks for continuing to come back.
I only list families who are home with their children. I don't list those that are waiting or are on their trip, to protect their privacy in the US and in Kazakhstan. If you are an adoptive family that is traveling, you might consider putting a password on your private site; you may even be asked to do this by your adoption agency. If you do password your site, please send me an invite so that I can follow your journey.
Ages listed are those at the time of the adoption, infant is less than 6 months old (children now have to be at least 6 months old when adopted, but that wasn't the law in the beginning). Dates are the general date of the adoption trip. Remember that all families go through Almaty, so there may be information on any of these pages for the city. Although some of these families have also adopted from other countries, or have other children, I have only listed the adoptions from Kazakhstan. The information was obtained from the websites. If you are listed here and don't want to be or would like something changed, or if you would like your website added, please e-mail me and let me know. Websites that require a password will not be listed unless the password is provided or there is a contact e-mail.
If you choose to contact these families through their websites, please tell them that you found them listed at this site. Remember that these families have generously shared their stories and thoughts with all of us and respect their privacy. Don't ask for personal information such as addresses, phone numbers, updated pictures, etc.
Some of these have only a few pictures, and some have in-depth journals; some are only the adoption journey, and some continue to tell the child's story. Check out the gorgeous kids from Kazakhstan.
